This is a one year, half-day academic/clinical program for adults and secondary students. The students enrolled in this program will learn entry level occupational child care skills. Students take part in clinical experiences by assisting cooperative teachers in local day care sites and Head Start Programs. Students assist the teachers with daily routines and supervision.
Opportunities for students in this program include:
- Youth Apprenticeship Program with College Credit
- Day Care
- Home Care Provider
- Head Start Aide
Students must either be currently enrolled in a KCS high school or hold a high school diploma/GED.
There are no associated costs for high school students.
Adults - 1080 clock hours beginning in August
