Information Technology Fundamentals

IT Fundamentals is designed to help beginners learn more about the world of information technology (IT). It’s ideal if you’re considering a career in IT or if you work in an allied field that requires a broad understanding of IT. IT Fundamentals can also be a stepping stone to more advanced certifications such as CompTIA A+, and, with specialized experience, CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+. CompTIA is an internationally recognized industry gold-standard certifying agency. This course prepares students to pass the CompTIA IT Fundamentals exam, but does not cover the cost of exam fees.

Financial Aid Application (FAFSA) changes for 2017-18
TABE testing now offered every 2nd and 4th Thursday from 12-3:00 Click here to register
The TABE test is a requirement for enrollment in Adult Technical Education at Ben Franklin.
If Requesting TABE TEST indicate which date you prefer: ALLOW 3 HOURS FOR TABE TESTING
TABE testing will resume in September for student enrolling in 2018.
**Any student who has not taken the TABE test by May 25th will be placed on the wait list and will be notified in July if they will be eligible to start classes for the July session.
***Dates and times are subject to cancellation
Walk-ins are accepted on Weds. and Thursdays , but sessions cannot be guaranteed without a scheduling request.
The FAFSA application process has changed.
The most significant change is the application's availability beginningin October as of October 1, 2016.
